Living With A Snorer

July 18th, 2005 by admin | Filed under Uncategorized.

Today’s article isn’t going to be for people who snore. Nope. It’s for people who have to live with someone who snores.

It’s no laughing matter when you see the problems snoring can cause in otherwise happy relationships.

So with this in mind, I have prepared for you some tips on how to cope with living with a snorer… Until they can find a way of curing it.

The first tip, and probably most important… is to help them find a cure. Hopefully your partner will cooperate and understand your frustration with the lack of you may be getting, and will be happy to look for a cure.

Anyways, here’s the tips:

It’s an obvious one… but get yourself some good earplugs and wear them at night. This will filter out most (if not all) of the noise, and help you get a good night’s .

If your partner isn’t a very heavy snorer, and won’t wake you up anyway, you may want to form an arrangement where you go to first, and your partner only goes to after you have. Obviously this will only work if you find it a problem getting to , rather than staying a .

My next tip will only apply to some of you. Avoid taking any afternoon naps (or naps in any other time of the day). This will mean you’ll be more tired when you go to bed, and are less likely to be kept awake by your partners snoring.

Another good way to make yourself more tired, and therefore less likely to be woken by snoring, is to exercise during the day. It’s good for your general health, too.

I doubt it needs me to suggest, but when your partner snores call their name of give them a little nudge. Get them to on their side too, as this will open their airways more and make them breathe easier.

My last tip, to be used only if needed, as it will cause relationship problems… is to in different rooms. It will be up to you and your partner to work out sleeping arrangements… but I recommend you try other solutions before this one.

I hope some of my suggestions have helped you, or sparked ideas of your own.
