Proper Acne Care
August 22nd, 2005 by admin | Filed under Uncategorized. If you are suffering from acne, you should familiarize yourself with proper acne care. Many people suffer from acne each year and surprisingly there are a few people that actually make their acne or skin condition worse by not properly caring for their acne.
There are many ways to treat your acne, but the most important thing to consider is common sense. Many people can actually harm their face when treating their acne, because they do not follow the product instructions. While many people think more is better, the opposite is usually true with over the counter acne treatments. Many over the counter acne treatments include acid and other substances that can dry out the skin and even burn the skin. If you have sensitive skin make sure you read the instructions and experiment with several products in order to decrease the chance of irritation.
Proper acne care also includes cleaning your face each day. Most dermatologists recommend that you clean your face twice a day. When cleaning your face use an anti bacterial soap that is sensitive to your skin. Do not use hot water and do not scrub your face. You can easily irritate your skin and even make your acne worse by spreading bacteria and sebum around your face.
Proper acne care should also include a proper diet. Make sure that you consume enough vitamins such as vitamin A and D which keep your skin well maintained. It is also important to drink plenty of water on a dailt basis. Well hydrated skin is much healthier than dry skin. Try to drink at least 8 -8 oz glasses of water each day. So, for proper acne care, check out the above tips.
