Walking is also a very low impact way to work out. You don’t have to worry much about risking injury, or putting a lot of stress on your knees and joints. It is also a very gentle way to work out and you can adjust it to your own physical needs. If you are just starting out, take it slow and don’t walk very far. As your physical condition improves, you can start to walk faster, further and even uphill. You can also further increase the intensity of your workout by carrying weights or using walking poles.
