Vitamins?

August 12th, 2010 by admin | Filed under Uncategorized.

Of all the questions that I am asked when I conduct a health
seminar, I can always count on one about vitamins - their efficacy
or inadequacy.

If you search a medical dictionary you will find a description
similar to the following;

Vitamin:
- “Accessory food factors.
- Substances contained in foodstuffs which are essential to life,
growth and reproduction.”

This definition doesn’t really say much does it?

It’s like trying to describe an orange - without actually biting
into it there is no real substance to an attempt at definition.

The term ‘vitamin’ is actually a misnomer.

They are food acids and should really be called by their correct
names such as: Pantothenic acid, Folic acid, Ascorbic acid, etc.

These food acids are part and parcel of the food - they do not
exist in isolation from the food itself.

The vitamins that are sold over the counter are chemicals -
produced in a laboratory.

They are poor imitations of the live organic materials that make up
the food we eat.

They have no life force and cannot act on the body.

They are like all drugs in that they either stimulate or depress
the natural functions of the body.

In order to get a vitamin you have to eat the food itself - it
can’t be separated from the food.

All foods contain all elements but not in the same quantities and
qualities.

So if you are truly concerned about your vitamin intake - you will
adhere to the simple law of dynamic nutrition as espoused by the
philosophy of Nature Cure - eat what is locally grown and in season.

This law will provide a perfect balance of nutrients for the
maintenance of health and happiness for each of you.

All the best in balancing your dietary intake.
