How To Fulfill Orders In Your Sleep

March 8th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

So you have a digital product to sell, but how do you make it automatically downloadable so you don’t have to be sending out emails at all hours of the day (and night)? The solution is really very simple. Just use your autoresponder and the good news is most web hosting accounts already come with a basic autoresponder system.

The general idea is to create a special dedicated email address where payment notifications will be sent to. Once the autoresponder detects email being sent to this address, it will immediately kick back a reply email that you pre-programmed with download information and that is it. You’re in business.

Easy as it is, this system does have a few flaws. For one, any email sent to that special address will return a reply with your product download information. Secondly, some payment processor’s notification emails come from the payment processor themselves and it is only within the body of the notice will you find the customer’s email. This is a problem because autoresponders that come with your web hosting account are not very sophisticated and can only reply to the originating email address. In plain English, this means all your order thank you emails will go to your payment processor, your customer receives nothing. And that is not good.

Thankfully, there are autoresponder systems that are much more robust and truly intelligent. They can literally scan the payment notification email, extract your customer’s information, add them to the database so you can follow up with them later and send out a reply immediately to the customer using the information it gathered. All of this is done immediately behind the scenes in a matter of minutes (and even seconds); all your customer sees and experiences is one seamless process. These intelligent autoresponders come in the form of monthly services or scripts.

But what about securing the download? That is easy too. In many web host control panels, you will find a ‘Protect Folder’ or ‘Password Protection’ feature. By putting your downloads in a special folder and password protecting that folder, you will now keep spiders, robots and people who do not have access to the password out of your downloads.

What if you want a stronger protection system? In that case, you can use a membership manager where people can create their own logins. You can also get scripts or hosted shopping carts that will generate unique download links that expire after a certain time. These systems can set you back from $50 to $200 or more.

Up till now, all the options discussed only protect the download, not the product itself. If you’re really concerned about piracy or if piracy is getting out of hand for you, the best way is to protect each download with its own unique key code. Fortunately there are services who can do that and integrate seamlessly into your existing checkout system. They cost $9.95 to $24.95 a month. If you are losing a big amount to piracy, the price may be small to pay.

Some food for thought, there will always be a small percentage of customers who will try to do what they know is wrong. The more control you exert, the more resentful customers will feel. Regardless of copyright, people do not like to be limited over something they already paid for. You just have to weigh it out what matters to you, keeping the majority of good customers happy or you want to spend time on a few rotten apples and of course don’t forget to spell out your copyright and terms of use clearly. That’s about the best you can do.

Vaginal Yeast Infections

March 6th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

One of the most annoying conditions that almost every woman has had at one time or another is a “vaginal yeast infection.” A vaginal yeast infection is also called “Candida.” You probably have had at least one yeast infection in your lifetime. Sometimes this annoying infection caused by the Candida albicans fungus, will appear two or more times in a woman’s life, however, this is a small percentage of women. Usually with the proper medical treatment these will improve with repeated treatment.

If you are a woman with unexplained, repeat episodes of vaginal yeast infections and your doctor has not already recommended you testing for diabetes or HIV, you might ask him for these tests. Diabetes and HIV are two conditions that suppress the immune system and increase the risk of repeated infections.

Who is more susceptible to getting a yeast infection?

• Women under stress from poor , lack of , illness or when taking antibiotics.
• Women with immune-suppressing diseases like diabetes and HIV infection.

What are the symptoms of a yeast infection?

• Vaginal inching and/or soreness
• Thick, white, cheese-like discharge
• Burning feeling around the vaginal opening, especially if urine touches the area
• Pain and/or discomfort during

When should you consult a doctor?

• Whenever you have vaginal discomfort or abnormal vaginal discharge. This is especially important if you are pregnant.

Most vaginal yeast infections are cured within two weeks or less with the proper medical treatment, and sometimes even with a few days.

What happens at your doctor’s office when you express vaginal symptoms?

• He or she will probably do a pelvic exam. This is necessary to check for inflammation and a white discharge in the vaginal area, or around the vaginal opening.

• Your doctor may also take a sample of the vaginal discharge for an examination under a microscope in the office or to send to the lab. This is a test for yeast organism such as Candida fungi, which is the cause of a vaginal yeast infection.

What is the treatment for vaginal yeast infections?

• Antifungal Medicines that are inserted directly into the vagina. These include: Tablets, creams, ointments or suppositories.

• A single dose of oral fluconazole (Diflucan Oral) may also be used, but not recommended during pregnancy.

Most vaginal yeast infections are not transmitted sexually, therefore, male sex partners do not need to be treated. If a male sex partner shows symptoms of redness, irritation and/or itching at the tip of the penis, he may need to be treated with an antifungal cream or ointment.

If this is your first vaginal yeast infection you definitely need to visit a doctor. The importance of seeing a doctor for first time symptoms of a vaginal infection is to be certain that the vaginal discharge and discomfort is caused by yeast and not a sexually transmitted infection such as gonorrhea, Chlamydia or trichomoniasis. Over-the-counter treatments for vaginal yeast infections should only be used for treating repeat infections.

Tips to prevent vaginal yeast infections:

• Keep the external genital area clean and dry.
• Avoid irritating soaps and bubble baths, vaginal sprays and douches.
• Change tampons and sanitary napkins frequently.
• Wear loose cotton underwear (other types of underwear and tight underwear may trap moisture).
• Do not sit in a wet bathing suit for prolonged periods. Change quickly into dry clothing.
• Take antibiotics only when prescribed by your doctor. Never take antibiotics longer than your doctor recommends.
• If you are , keep close control over your blood sugar levels.

Relieve Menopause Hot Flashes Naturally

March 3rd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

One of the most common symptoms of , hot flashes are not something that must be tolerated. A cure for hot flashes, hot flushes or night sweats is not that hard to find. You just have to know where to look. However, products that help relieve hot flashes for some women may not work for others. So, here we look at several that may be beneficial. Because of the health risks associated with hormone replacement therapy, natural remedies are becoming increasingly popular. Herbs and plants may not be a “new” cure for hot flashes, but they are effective, nonetheless. And we do know a lot more about them than we did at one time, so we do have “new” ways to look at them.

Hot flashes, hot flushes and night sweats are three different names for the same physical reaction to decreasing levels of estrogen. They may begin years before actual and last for several years afterwards. The frequency and severity varies from one woman to the next. Researchers often describe them as “vasomotor” symptoms, because blood vessels and circulation are involved.

Typically the heat begins in a woman’s chest, travels up the neck to the face and head. When they occur at night, they may interrupt a woman’s , increasing levels of fatigue and sometimes leading to insomnia. From the experiences of other women, we know that caffeine, alcohol, tobacco products and spicy foods can trigger them, as can anger, frustration and irritation. Regular exercise and drinking plenty of water seems to help.

Black cohosh has been the cure for hot flashes for many women. More research has been done concerning the effectiveness and safety of black cohosh than on any of the other herbs that can help hot flushes. But, if you have tried it and it doesn’t work for you, there are other alternatives.

Scientists are still unsure why black cohosh relieves hot flashes, but evaluations of the chemical compounds of other plants have revealed an estrogen-like substance, aptly named phytoestrogens. Isoflavones are one type of phytoestrogen. If you read the ingredients on a remedy for hot flushes, you may see “soy isoflavones” or “isoflavones from red clover”. These may help hot flashes because they have an estrogen like effect on a woman’s body. Some researchers have been concerned that isoflavones or phytoestrogens could have the same side effects as synthetic estrogens used in hormone replacement therapy. So, here’s what we know about the risks associated with long term use of synthetic hormones.

We know that estrogen replacement therapy can cause endometrial cancer. The endometrium is the lining of the uterus and estrogen causes the lining to build up, which, without menstruation, frequently led to cancer. Thus, doctors would prescribe an estrogen-progesterone combination therapy. The progesterone would cause the lining to be shed each month, leading to a return of monthly periods, and decreasing the cancer risk. For years, this “combination” hormone therapy was the most commonly recommended cure for hot flashes and other symptoms associated with .

As with many medical treatments, the risks turned up with long term use of this type of therapy. The Women’s Health Initiative recently concluded a seven year study of women using hormone replacement therapies of both types. The conclusion is that hormone replacement therapy of any type increases a woman’s risk for blood clots and stroke. Combination therapy, which was thought to be safer than estrogen only, actually added the increased health risks of heart disease and breast cancer. An even longer study (more than twenty years) performed by Harvard scientists found that estrogen only increased breast cancer risks when used for more than 15 years. Typically a woman would not use hormone replacement therapy to relieve hot flashes and other symptoms for many years, but when the risks are blood clots, heart disease and stroke, even short term use is rarely recommended as a cure for hot flashes.

While no long term studies have been conducted concerning women who use phytoestrogens or isoflavones to help relieve hot flashes, short term clinical studies have revealed their effectiveness, lack of side effects and safety. Even the idea that phytoestrogens, which are found in soy beans, a health food, might not be safe for long term use seems silly. People eat soy all of the time and have for many, many years.

Red clover, the other most commonly used source of isoflavones, is grown for animal feed. Native Americans used the flower for tea and chewed the leaves raw. Healers used it to treat liver ailments, gall bladder ailments, ulcers, diabetes, tonsillitis, internal cancer, appendicitis, headaches and as a cure for hot flashes and other symptoms related to changing levels of hormones and aging.

Scientific research and the experiences of other women tell us that black cohosh helps relieve hot flashes. Laboratory tests have revealed that black cohosh has no effect on even estrogen sensitive cancer cell lines. But, if this cure for hot flashes does not work for you, try soy or red clover isoflavones. All of our scientific and historical knowledge indicates that these are safe. Why it is Important to Keep Active

February 25th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

It is important that we all exercise and keep fit especially as we grow older because it will greatly improve your health. Fitness is just as important for the disabled although will have to be adjusted to suit.

Physical activity is as important a part of a weight loss program as eating the right food. A growing number of women are overweight or obese. Being overweight or obese increases your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, breathing problems, arthritis, gallbladder disease, apnea (breathing problems while sleeping), osteoarthritis, and some cancers.

It is not just how much fat a person has but also where it is located. A “pear” shaped women, has a tendency to store fat around the hips and buttocks whilst an “apple” shaped women stores fat around the waist. There is greater concern for women with an “apple” shape because carrying extra weight around their waists (larger than 35 inches) raises health risks, for example heart disease, diabetes or cancer. You can work out your body shape by measuring your waist and hips in inches and then divide your waist measurement by the hips measurement. A result of 0.8 or more generally indicates an “apple” shape women.

Exercise helps you to lose fat and build strong bones and prevent osteoporosis. It has been found that bone density is lost when weight loss is achieved through dieting alone. Exercise not only helps to prevent bones from breaking but also makes the body stronger and improves balance, and so helps to prevent falls. Though care has to be given when exercising, as there is a need to ensure that the body has enough nutriments to build muscle otherwise minerals could be leeched from the bone and so make the bones weak. It is best not to exercise on an empty stomach.

Exercising provides a lot of benefits to the body such as:-

· help to reduce , depression, and improve moods

· help to control stress

· help to control weight

· provide more energy

· help with sleeplessness

· help you look better.

The best way to stay fit is to have a well-rounded workout plan, which combines aerobic activity, muscle-strengthening , and stretching. The ideal plan is to do at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity three of four times a week, adding muscle-strengthening activities to your aerobic workout two to three times a week.

To reduce the risk of injury you need to do a slow aerobic warm-up, then stretch before any aerobic or strengthening activities. An aerobic activity is an activity that speeds up your heart and breathing while moving your body at a regular pace. If you have been inactive for a while you will need to start slowly and gradually build up the pace without hurting the body.

Before starting any sort of exercise routine make sure that you talk to your health care provider especially if you have any of the following:-

· have or at risk of heart disease or a stroke

· have or at risk of diabetes

· are obese

· have an injury such as a knee injury

· older than 50 years

· are pregnant
