Use NLP for Smoking Cessation

April 29th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

NLP stands for NeuroLinguistic Psychology, and many people are finding as one of the more beneficial stop programs. Typically, this is one part of a bigger overall package that may include several quit products and methods. While it’s evident that NLP does work on some who are looking for help to stop , it’s also apparent that no stop hypnotherapy will work unless several factors are present.

Arguably, the most important factor is a personal desire to quit cigarettes. If the is looking for stop aids because a spouse is constantly nagging about the smell of smoke, it’s unlikely that any stop help is going to work. Quitting has to be the ’s desire. Look at some examples between an internal and external drive.

If the is fully aware of the health risks of , he or she may say it’s time to quit. An internal reason to seek quit help is that you (as a ) know you’re doing harm to your body, and to your family and friends who deal with your second-hand smoke. This is an internal prompt to quit cigarette . In this case, the desire is real and quit hypnosis or NLP may very well be just the boost you need to successfully quit.

Another important factor in this case is that the family and friends are likely to be supportive, rather than censuring an occasional desire for a cigarette. There’s typically less pressure on the who’s trying to quit when he has a good stop support network.

Some examples of external prompting to seek some program such as stop hypnosis or NLP are the spouse who is constantly nagging about the smell of smoke, or even the cost of cigarettes. While those are legitimate reasons for stopping , the desire is typically not as strong and it may be more difficult for the to actually quit. When the desire for a cigarette comes around (as it most likely will), the with external drives to quit cigarettes is more likely to choose the cigarette even though the penalties will be the cost of the cigarettes or the nagging of the spouse.

That’s not to say that external prompts can’t be strong enough to help the quit, only that those prompts aren’t as likely to succeed as if the truly has the desire.

If the cost of the habit is prompting the to give it up, he may find that he’s not willing to pay for follow-up treatment. Many who undergo some form of hypnosis find they need additional sessions to remain strong against the desire to smoke. Hypnosis isn’t a free stop therapy, but then nothing (other than sheer willpower) is free. If money alone is your prompting, you have to look at the long-term effects – money you’ll save over the next year, two years or longer. That might help you justify the cost of hypnosis or NLP as a resource of how to stop .

One of the most important aspects of hypnosis and NLP therapies is the focus on both the physical and mental aspects of quitting . Smokers who use only a stop aid such as gum may find themselves longing for a cigarette simply because they feel the need to have it in their hand. Hypnosis stop programs usually help deal with that part of the addiction, as well as the physical symptoms of withdrawal.

Free Tips On How To Lose Weight

April 9th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Many people in life, especially in the western world are looking at ways to . In this article I describe about how I have had an ongoing struggle with my own weight and how I eventually lost the excess pounds.

I am somebody who has a liking to the wrong types of food and drinks and as a result have had an ongoing battle with my weight for most of my life. I have to be very careful what I eat as I seem to gain weight very easily. In my life I have tried many diets, however I have always looked for a way to of losing weight without having to resort to starve myself or by having to do huge amounts of exercise.

I have always been annoyed and frustrated with family and friends who seem to be able to eat without getting fat. I am sure I eat half as much as these people but am still twice their size, it is not fair! That was until a couple of years ago.

I decided I needed to find my own way of losing weight. I had to be honest with myself, I was aware that I did very little exercise and that I liked all of the wrong types of food. I was a bit of a fast food junkie, this was only because of my busy lifestyle . One of my biggest problems though was that I liked snack food, such as peanuts, chocolate and crisps. I also liked an alcohol as this helped me to gain confidence.

I knew that most people would advise me to stop eating all fatty type foods, especially the pizzas and chips. They would also no doubt, advise me to join a gym and to go jogging every morning. Get real! Those gyms are full of thin people, if I go jogging I might get mugged, and I am sorry but life would not be worth living without my weekly pizza!

What I needed was my own weight loss plan so I decided that what I would do is to basically eat a healthy type breakfast, which would be cerial or toast. I would have a fairly light lunch, such as a sandwich, however for my evening meal I could eat whatever I wanted. The main thing and most difficult to implement would be the fact that I would be no longer eating between meals. The snacks had to go!. I am not trying to say that this was easy to do, however I had a need and was determined to .

For exercise I decided to leave the car at home, wherever possible, and walk to more places. I also started taking my children to the park more often. At the park we would play games such as football, cricket and baseball. It is amazing how much weight you can lose by having fun.

These things in time helped me to lose a lot of my excess weight.

Is There A Cure For Stuttering?

October 4th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

At the age of four I developed a stutter. Even to this day, I am now aged thirty-three, I have no idea as to why I started to stutter. There is not one member of my family who has the speech impediment and for many years I would ask myself the same question, why me? At the age of around fourteen I stopped asking myself questions about how or why I had the stuttering problem and started to look for a solution. I so wanted to be able to talk fluently and I was now asking a new question, is there a known cure for stuttering?

For many years I felt very lonely. I seemed to be in a different world to everybody else, a world of fear and frustration. I worried every day about my speech and about the way in which other people would react, if and when I did trip up on a word. I was constantly frustrated, part of this frustration was due to the fact that I found it so difficult to talk where as other people seemingly found it so easy. The other side to the frustration was the fact that the stutter dictated every decision I ever made and I always ended up accepting second best.

I was also lonely because I felt like I was one of only a few people who had this form of speech impediment, I certainly did not know of anyone else who had the problem. I am now aware that many people suffer with stuttering.

When searching for the stuttering cure, many, in fact most people informed me that you can not cure a stutter. This was of course quite annoying to hear, but was something I did not accept. Aged sixteen I became drunk for the first time, it was also the first time in my life where I had been fluent for a sustained period of time. How strange, I could speak fluently when under the influence of alcohol, who can possibly tell me there is not a cure for stuttering?

Aged twenty-two and after a lot of hard work I managed to rid myself of the stutter, to enable myself to speak fluently when sober and when drunk. My advice to people out there is to not always believe what you are told, where there is a will, there is a way.

What It Is Like To Have A Severe Stammer

November 2nd, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Stammer or stammering can have a dramatic effect on somebodys confidence.

Fluent people really can not comprehend how hard it is to live your life with a speech impediment or .

I run one to one speech courses in Birmingham and one of my clients once told me about a situation he was involved in. He and his friends went to a bar one Saturday afternoon to have a few drinks. After a couple of pints he went up to the bar to order himself a drink. Unfortunately he could not speak all of the words fluently and the bar man accused him of being drunk and refused to serve him. He tried to explain that he was not drunk but had a but the bar man said “That’s what they all say”

He returned to his friends who asked him where his drink was. He told them what had happened, this itself was very embarressing.

His friends were very supportive and one of them went to the bar and bought him a drink. Everything was fine until the barman saw him drinking this drink. He stormed over and asked him to leave the pub saying:

“I told you that I did not want you drinking anymore alcohol, now get out”

His friends tried to explain to the barman about the and were eventually thrown out of the pub aswell.

This is a typical situation people who have a find themselves in.
